David Rossi Elliott

Emerging artist in Atlanta, GA. I focus on abstracts and images that capture my focus. My work is an exploration in aesthetics, texture, and the moment. The overall goal of every piece is a pure composition. At times playful and at others aggressive the voice is that of the moment.

The series which focuses on the female form is a breakdown of the elements that make up the beauty of all women. Most of the images used are from my mind but at other times the images are selected in a short period of time through exposure to different types of media. The images chosen are the images that fit that particular moment in the constant evolution that is me as an artist. The layers work towards the aesthetic of the original images and how they fit the scheme of the piece. In the end the images have been broken down into shapes that ambiguously direct the eye across breasts and windows to result in a sense of time, space, and the moment.

In my other work I focus on an aesthetics and the many ways an eye can look at a piece of art. There is also a large tendency towards automatism and instinctual creation. But as always art is for the viewer.
